MS...

A "ischemic brain infarct" is a complicated way of saying an ischemic stroke...Which implies either an embolis (in this case related to an atrial arrhythmia)..or thrombsis usually in the carotid artery causing a stroke in the area of the middle meningeal artery...

In R-I even though there was a small (but significant) increase in atrial arrhythmias, there was a 27% lower rate of ischemic strokes (called ischemic brain infarcts) in this article...So EPA at 4gms/day cuts the risk of ischemic strokes.from atrial arrhhythmias such as Afib or artrial flutter...(a good thing)..
