IMO:IDCC's Essential 3G/802.xx Patents have been validated by Panasonic, NEC, Sharp, Toshiba, HTC, Arima, Quanta, Kyocera, LG, Sanyo, Sierra, Option, etc..While NEC and Panasonic are Joined with Nokia in the E.U. Action..they have no dispute with IDCC's 3G royalty rate...in fact NEC has the only surviving MFL PLA with IDCC..and they have not raised any issue regarding all of IDCC's subsequent 3G licensing agreements..so apparently IDCC Management has been consistent in their 3G licensing terms..IMO:If any IDCC stockholder believes that S/E, Motorola,Nokia, BenQ and Samsung can produce 3G Subscriber devises without intersecting IDCC inventions..they should seek other investments..


The dispute has been brought to a U.S. court and also to the European Commission, which will decide in coming weeks whether to start an official investigation. Nokia is hopeful that a picture will begin to emerge of what should be regarded as "fair and reasonable" as early as next year.
