Snakes should have and possibly still can make it KNOWN that they SAVED Morning, which ensured that the Kickstarter Backers got their product.

These THOUSANDS of TABLE GAMING GEEKS (target consumer) should see Snakes/FUNN as a savior, not the company that was failing (Morning).... Many of them are upset with Morning

Without Snakes they would have never seen this game, or the popular pigicorn. A good PR team would have jumped at this chance to relay this story/aspect. There are many non obnoxious/organic ways to do this.

I would make a video after the game hits retailers, about the entire process of SAVING Morning and bringing this title to the masses.

... and Snakes has a solid video team!

PS: They can talk-up the entire company as well. Like new locations, the online store, sector related info, etc
