Yes the LWLG moduators maintain polarization. We don’t see this as differentiating between waveguide technologies, hence haven’t talked about it.

BTW, for coherent, as you posted, the scheme and hence component design is complex. In fact the complexity is even more than you state. The most common schemes are I and Q on each polarization so 4 modulators in 1!

What’s good about working at the very fundamental materials & device element level is LWLG’s technology is agnostic i.e. general to multiple modulation schemes.

But that’s not where the differentiation lies. We see our higher speed as a way to defer complexity.
