hello RCKS - hard freeze expected here at home
from Monday early morning through Tuesday early
morning. We just finished harvesting our herbs and
our zucchini and tomatoes.

It has been a good hiking & mountain biking spring and summer season. Grouse hunted in the forest all last week,along with some fly fishing for the autumn run of brown trout into the smaller rivers. Had a Mother black bear with 4 cubs in our campsite area all week, which was a bit exciting at dinner time and at night.

Have not read IHub for many months, so am not up to date on all that is taking place in the lives of folks here.

Here is someone's article describing one of my favorite hikes this summer and in prior years near the Idaho/Wyoming border. I believe it is exactly 3.3 miles up the pavement to the Trail Head once driving across into Wyoming. I have some great pics taken from the Mountain top summit late this August, but the real show was at the end of the day on the trail about 2 minutes from the parking lot when a mother moose with her yearling stared down our border collie and me until we realized it was no progress for us until she allowed it. Was a very long wait. :)

no need to reply, I am disappearing into outdoor recreation for another 14 months or longer. Ski season is coming soon.
