george, excluding the murine testing, I am not sure this has been highlighted in the discussion of 2-73 possibly having a more significant impact with the Rett girls and young women, but here are some random thoughts of my wife, an RN, when we were talking about the results of the 6 Rett women from last week.

In her view, the younger victims, those under 18, are still in the development stage with regards to brain size, motor skills, skull size such that if the earlier 2-73 is able to work its cellular homeostasis on these systems, the more chance of these girls having a more normal life. She thought one of the issues with the women over 18 is that the skull size is established (skull size is smaller in Rett girls and women) and changes that 2-73 could accomplish might not be as significant because of that size limitation.

I'm not sure I'm explaining it properly, but, in short, she believes the benefits will be greater with the younger females and the sooner, they receive 2-73.
