Here is something real funny.
I just posted the following at ktuu.com channel 2 here in Anchorage.

We need to buy out all of the shares of the company that owns pebble mine, as many as it takes to own a controlling interest.

We could then enlist Elon Musk to build a high speed transport system from the future port to the mine. Then make them take all the ore from this mine and ship it, with Alaskan captains and vessels only to Canada for processing. We do it with all of the oil now, and we can do it with ore. We will leave the gold here as in jobs and taxes, then send the pollution to Canada as they own this project. I think the shares of this companies stock should appreciate exponentially. I think if we do this just right we could easily fund this state and government. Then as the perm fund rises with the gold and the future price of gold we should enjoy massive dividends as we well deserve. Here is a chance to do this right, this pristine environment should be here forever. With a tunnel there would be no visual pollution as well, or risk a disaster like some containment pond rupturing. I think our government should contact Elon as he wanted to do this in California.
