If by know people don't realize that the PPS moves exactly to the price point a MM wants to move it (certainly for small caps) then you will never understand that it is at that point that the relation between real value+potential value versus paid price is broken.

That is how they take value from retailers with the slogan that the company is worth what it quotes. But that is only true if the PPS moves on real Bid-Ask and not on naked shorts, shorts and MM point pushes to help them fill orders.
