It is indeed a serious accusation that somehow more Whelan skulduggery made the ActiPatch foot device disappear around the time he was in discussions with Dr. Scholl's. They and Bayer people visited BIEL several times in MD. Many have repeatedly asked where the foot device disappeared to. MIA.
In deal discussions, the Scholl's needs were simple. Because BIEL is tiny, had no money or clout, they wanted the right to manufacture the Dr. Scholl's device under their supervision and packaging. Scholl's also needed to know QA was rigid. Whelan took it as a personal insult and screamed, "no". Scholl's departed. No private label, no sales. No, no, no!
It had nothing to do with Bayer. Nothing to do with the Monsanto Roundup claims, which were totally factored into the Bayer/Monsanto deal. Laughably, ActiPatch was a tiny opportunity for Bayer. Seriously, Scholl's was a huge opportunity for BIEL and Scholl's, but Whelan's massive ego got in the way, same as when he said "no" to CVS taking ActiPatch nationwide and KT Tape's substantial offer for a $$$ national marketing campaign.
The numbers were quickly known because people were totally blown away that Whelan said no to everything!
A serious accusation? Yes! A serious MIA for the foot device? Yes. Everything Whelan has touched goes MIA. No Braun sales. MIA. No NHS UK sales campaign to MDs and no sales. MIA. No CE Mark. MIA. No mundipharma bricks & mortar sales. MIA. No KT Tape or CVS sales. All MIA.
People would be amazed at how much profit BIEL could have made from DR. Scholl's and KT Tape worldwide and CVS in the U.S. Those who disagree have no idea of BIEL' s product costs or the very profitable numbers discussed. BIEL will not get other chances with those players until after Whelan retires.
Keith Nalepka did a great job promoting ActiPatch, as did others before him, people like and respect him. But Mumbles Whelan ruined the relationships by bullying. Retailers won't do business now with Mumbles Whelan who just says "no:" to retailers, can't stand anyone else making money selling ActiPatch. Thinks he knows everything and can bully them. They shunned him and the pps remains in the toilet. MIA.
