Don’t a large majority of stockholders have to vote on the buyout price???


I don't know the answer to that. Do they have to? I thought the two players involved could come into an agreement and the bigger company would just fork out the price for the acquisition.

May be there are people on this MB that can comment on buyout procedures. Of course, I am talking in a hypothetical sense at this point.
