Proof of performance > Just go to the dealer parts dept. Talk to the parts manager. They have replacement mufflers in stock. Ask the manager to bring a muffler to the counter. Visually inspect the muffler. Do you see a brand name stamped on the muffler. Also, ask the manager who is the OEM of the muffler ( original equipment maker ) . Who is the OEM maker of the part listed in order manual.
Also, ask parts manager where are production facilities in USA?
Get phone numbers. Call one facility and ask to speak to a production engineer so you can inquire about the mfg. of the muffler.
