The 35 year family friend that I hired for the CEO took us all to the bank.... This was in Washington state. Like everywhere, it was done with cash only and kind of a shit show because of this. I've spoken with many representatives from the control board, and situations like this has been the norm for the Washington cannabis businesses. I personally know a few companies where someone in the company was crooked and took the company down. Everyone had to do FBI checks and it is amazing how many crooks got into the industry.
