Why would I censor this article Dan? I don't agree with much of it and it seems to me to be a scurrilous, cheap piece of writing. The NY Times remains a professional publication with a long history of excellence. I have no problem with anyone who dislikes or disagrees with editorial or opinion leanings. But that's why it appears in editorial or opinion pages. A more valid argument might be made on the straight news side. An editor can, by the size and phrasing of a headline, by a story's placement [above or below the fold] or by burying a story deep inside or by ignoring some stories entirely can certainly influence readers. I don't think the NY Times does this, but I know many papers do.
