You are supposed to get 40 hours of CPE per year on the last day of your birth month to stay current, but you can fudge it. They require 120 hours over a three year period, so you can do 20, 20 and 80. And then it starts over. But doing 40 per year is what is preferred.
But with the new tax laws, the 40 hours of tax law courses was what the firm wanted.
