If he doesn't have a baseline to compare it too those ratios won't tell him how well V worked, just tells him where he is now, which isn't bad info to have, might lead to some diet changes if things aren't as good as they could be. I'm no expert on statins, but 20 mg of Crestor didn't have a dramatic effect on his LDL-C, but then again he said it didn't do too much when he was on it sans V two years ago, dose is probably too low or diet is bad.
