However, in this case it appears that Anavex is trying to make sure the AD diagnosis is as correct as possible to PREVENT skewing of the results by misdiagnosis. The technologies for diagnosing and confirming AD have improved considerably in the last two years.

They also appear to be taking more baseline data than in the past to validate additional measures of disease progress.
