it isn't the only way.. they MIGHT have to increase their authorized shares some but they are NOT going to do a R/S. Yes it's not good if a company continually ups their A/S but in the long run it can be good for a company if they do it once because of the funds they get from selling said shares helps them to ultimately reach the company goal of generating plenty of revenue.. What are they supposed to do just sit around on their hands and "hope" money magically lands in their lap? Raising the A/S isn't optimal I will give you that, but it's not the end of the world either when it's the means to an end.
