CLF—The seaborne price of iron ore is (fortunately) only one of three inputs in the formulas CLF uses to set prices with its blast-furnace customers. The other two variables are: the US price of hot-rolled steel; and the Atlantic pellet premium, which is determined by VALE. The latter item was recently trading at an all-time high.
