I expect this is still due to the capital raise. GS, JPM and others are not in the market to lose. As a consequence of not being able to sell until a couple days after the FDA decision, they short sold immediately upon knowing that they had secured their allotment of shares. Hence the 15 million share increase in short positions.

It also explains why GS or JPM have made zero efforts in supporting the stock as its to their benefit to see a lower stock price before the major move up. Once they have covered, one can expect them to start pounding the table, as we near Adcom.

Its the cost of playing in the same pool with the sharks.
