They gutted this building at the plant, about 150x900 feet two stories. I put in 8000 plus yards of concrete to even out the slab floors which were already 16” thick
Two main blocks 50x50” 5’ thick for lift supports. These batteries must be dam huge! It is supposed to keep the grid on 18 + hours if the grid goes down 350 maga watts. Then recharge. Tesla was suppose to be in on it but pulled out from what I understand. Three other companies are supposedly bidding on it. Think one offshore eastern and Canadian Co not sure. 450 million retro fit. Time frame was 6 months I started in March. The company is Granite Construction and they get a huge bonus with early completion. From what I gather who ever gets it they recoup the 450m in four years.
