In our case I'm not aware of any "bad PR". It's more a case of either no P/R or not handling the real news appropriately.
The trouble with no news coming from a company is that potential investors assume that "no news" means that nothing is happening.
In a start-up company there is ALWAYS something news worthy happening. It's the responsibility of the P/R department to seek out that news and make sure it gets distributed to the investing community.
