My dad worked for T for 30 years from the 60s when he got out of the Navy into the 90s when he was offered a pretty sweet buyout offer.
Mom was an overseas operater for them for 12 years back when the women sat in front of a bank of switchboards manually plugging in wires to complete the calls.

They always took advantage of the discount stock plan but would sell them to my Grandfather along and along since my parents ended up with 10 of us kids and really needed the money. Lol. Grandpa never sold a share and ended up a millionaire.

T has long been one of my favorite swing trades, it's almost easy to guess when it's close to a bottom. Buy and make a few bucks a share and rinse and repeat.

Think I shared this before a while back, I have also had great luck buying the long dated ATM calls for just 7-8% of the PPS when I think we are near a bottom and you have 2 years or more to be right, but usually just a few months is enough. I love the leverage of getting almost a dollar to dollar movement from the share price in the option price while only having 8% or so of the PPS tied up.

I'm currently holding a core position of 3k shares long, a few bought in Sept in the 29s but most bought in the 28s in December. The shares are up around 20% plus collected 5k or so in divs.

Nothing but smiles from me on T and sleep well at night having roughly
6 figures parked safely while collecting over 7% divs from my buy price. I should probably start planning an exit to take the gains but my gut says we could see $40 by year end. I guess we will see.

I appreciate all you guys thoughts and insights posted here.

Cheers
