Mathmatically speaking two better halfs equals a whole lot better.

Good point on a challanger. That SC Gov. sounds exactly like the type we would lose to. Smart and reasonable. If we take the Senate I could be OK with a GOP president. I doubt we will make 5 more years without a recession. If we are lucky it will come before the election. Hell of a thing to hope for but that's where Trump has us.
I really can not see the Repug base allowing a Woman or a black as their candidate. I know the base, I am related by marriage to the base. The Alabama base. The base of the base where E-D-U-C-A-T-I-O-N is a four letter word and grammar is a relative.


If it's a Dem President in office when the recession hits the GOP will use the heck out of that and possibly sway enough voters to take back the house.
