Blackrock is a high frequency long/short enhanced index fund manager. Index fund means no human being made a decision to invest in AVXL. Therefore, the fact that Blackrock bought 2.5 million shares is meaningless. It's neither good nor bad and should not be taken an endorsement of Anavex nor a reason to buy. If Biotechnology Value Fund or any of a number of bellwether biotech funds showed up on a 13-F list with a new position, that would be highly significant in my opinion.
