My take on the MRC tweet:
1. He works for BP and has a contact within the FDA.
2. His sole purpose is to instill fear and cause the SP of the company to drop.
3. Everything he says is true and will probably come to fruition. JT probably knew of a PDUFA extension because of FDA requests, but was not expecting an ADCOM. Hence his foresight in issuing a secondary and let’s not forget the great timing on those “automatic” share sales.
4. A lot of people knew this was coming. The put options 2 days before the adcom announcement, and how easy the price fell below underwriters “support” level after the offering. People were shorting like crazy. It’s obvious the FDA has leaks.
5. ADCOM will be a joke. An easy win for us. Finally the MO issue will be put to bed and we can put this in the rear view mirror.
6. If he ends up being right, which somehow he always is (easy when you have contacts within the FDA), it pretty much explains everything.
What he has said is the ONLY way for all this bullsh*t to make sense:
1. FDA was planning on no ADCOM or PDUFA extension.
2 FDA receives the citizen petition (late on purpose with the sole intention of delaying the PDUFA date)
3. FDA listens to MRC (aka AZN), and asks for more information from AMRN (very late in the game, again on purpose).
4. FDA takes its time reading the new data acquired and decides it wants an ADCOM to settle the issue.
So yes. MRC (AZN), is the reason we are having this adcom. The FDA is a joke and corrupt (don’t care what anyone else says, it’s my opinion). We will easily win the ADCOM. The sole intention of MRC is to hammer the SP to pressure JT into selling the company.
***warning warning the following statement is an extreme conspiracy thought, read with caution!*** :)
STRENGTH trial possibly delayed so AMRN couldn’t use it as further evidence that mineral oil is not an issue. STRENGTH trial is probably showing CV benefit, but not as robust as REDUCE-IT.
Again this is all OPINION. Take it with a tiny tiny tiny grain of salt.
