LOLOL, I always thought that in the 1800's when the wagons were heading west some broke down along the way. It seems my parents and others weren't smart enough, or warm enough to fix the wagon and keep up with the group!! LOL I have a theory that when winter comes around in the north each year, everyone goes into a type of hibernation where you don't think about leaving to a warmer climate! Once spring comes around everyone forgets how cold it was, no memory? 4 months later do it all over again!! It took a couple of months living in Arizona looking out the window each morning to see what the weather was going to be like? Finally it dawned on me that.... yep it's going to be another sunny day!!! 300+ sunny days a year!! North Dakota makes MN seem balmy in the winter!! LOLOL
