On the other hand, one day long ago President of the BOD, Phil Smith did "...receive a call from a company named after a fruit!", LOL. I dont remember what year that BS showed up, all I can find is an earlier recollection of the event I posted down below.

I do think LWLG is quite close to releasing important market moving news. I'd be astonished if we didn't hear anything truly transformative for LWLG in terms of commercialization by the end of 2019. If they do not it is a pretty bad omen for the future, and many may bail out (but not me) as by then LWLG will have had more than a year to be "designed in," to tweak and properly engineer an industrially and commercially attractive product that at least one solid company would take a chance on. Earlier we were told that it takes 12-18 months to be designed in, but I think everyone realizes time is precious at this particularly juncture for the datacom industry and LWLG has been engineering prototypes faster than its suggested timelines. The Purple brick wall is fast approaching and its almost time for LWLG to meet its promise to the tech industry and publicly evince the prototype that we have long been awaiting for, and I do believe these guys have finally delivered on something. I am sure many of the regular suspects we often discuss (AMAT/GLW/GOOGL/AMZN/MSFT/IBM/INTC/CSCO/AAPL) are deep in the know about LWLG's product but everything is kept highly secret for now per NDAs, however a total communication blackout wont last forever. When a deal is struck, we will likely know who our partner is and that is absolutely true if we have a new owner, as we will have the prerogative to vote our shares.

LWLG's new modulator wont be as revolutionary as the All Optical Processor (AOT) and Photonic Computer I once hoped LWLG would deliver, nor is it the Energy Generating & Storage Device, nor medical tech, nor the Optical Filter / LADAR nor any other sexy earth shattering device that suckered so many of us into this stock over all these years, but the LWLG modulator will provide a valuable lifeline to the Datacom industry and put LWLG on the map in the tech world and in the marketplace, if it is not devoured first, and with more resources, LWLG could attack one or more of those other exciting markets. 2020 is the year LWLG or its new owner finally generate revenue on this 2-3 year project, which is really part of a 20 year Odyssey, ONLY 12 or so I was following. "This time really is different" - Hopefully are not famous last words for me this time around. Could good news come tomorrow morning? - I can only dream!!!

Pretty sure it was Philip Smith discussing a call received from a company named after a fruit asking for help with a project and the Phil Smith asked if James Marcelli wanted to say anything about that and Marcelli said "NO comment!" This comment and the comment about the huge multi-million dollar research grant from Alabama that never materialized is the kind of thing bandied around at ASMs that never show up at official press releases of the company that get me steaming mad and make me think management is just hyping the company. The good news is that the company no longer does this anymore. All IMHO.
