Absolutely not there bullpen is great (although getting overused, which is a concern), they have a great lineup that will beat up on most team that don't have quality pitching which is most teams in the AL. Lets face it there is a lot of very weak teams in the AL (Royals, Tigers, Orioles, Bluejays, Mariners). Most of the teams have pitching problems even the red sox their bullpen stinks. The yankees are the class of there division and consequently 24/32 games over 500 come from this division who have two teams that make the marlins look good which is the weakest team in the NL in the orioles and blue jays, a red sox team who is coming off a ws hangover and a front office who could care less about leaving a bullpen in disaster form coming in and throughout the season. And The Rays do the best they can considering they have no payroll to speak of, but a team like that could only get so good.

Don't get me wrong the yankees are a good team, problem is the Astros and dodgers are super teams. And the yankees lineup can go wild, against the orioles, look at torres for example the guy has hit 23 homers, but 10 of them are against the orioles in just 13 games or so. This is my point, that stuff ain't happening in the playoffs, your lineup won't be able to make up for the SP deficiencies they have. Yes they have a bullpen which will help them which is why they have a chance against a opponent like the twins in my opinion, but a team like the Astros and Dodgers are in leagues of there own, in a short series you never know, but lets not act like you beating the astros is that good, like 1/4 maybe (probably worse if I'm being honest). Problem is if they than Have to face the dodgers what is that 1/4 there. And if you face the twins what 1/2, if you face a healthy indians I would say 1/3 chance of winning. My problem with the yankees is being at a distinct disadvantage in every series you play. That doesn't matter when your facing the orioles, blue jays, white sox, tigers royals, angels, mariners, you get the point none of these teams have SP and they don't have the other parts of the team to compete. The yankees are a better team for the regular season, because there lineup and bullpen is enough to dominate most teams in the AL and they are there class of the division hence 75% of the games they are over 500 is off this horrible division.

Plus here is a major factor will even german be available with the innings limit, clearly he needs to be starting in the playoffs in my opinion.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
