An alloy is a combination of metals or a combination of one or more metals with non-metallic elements

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alloy

This is readily seen by a search of all BMG;s containing Aluminum or Magnesium. You will not find a BMG which contains both.

Please educate us why BOTH Aluminum AND Magnesium shall exist together before it is classified as Amorphous Alloy.

Aluminum corrodes easily; magnesium corrodes easily, it takes more than these two elements alone to make a glass and that was the point I made from the very offset.

The second group consists of magnesium alloyed with various elements (rare earth, zinc, thorium, silver etc) except aluminum, all containing a small but effective zirconium content that imparts a fine grain structure and thus improved mechanical properties.
