How about you keep it like it is. But add bonus posts for 1rst, 2nd and 3rd runner ups.

3 Game Winning steak 1 pts (1 max)

5 Game Winning Steak 3 Pts (1 Max)

10 Game Winning steak 5 pts (1 Max)

That way you reward someone getting on a roll. Just like the winner by not losing early. That way if you lose week 1 but than roll off 10 straight your in great shape for that. Plus it penalizes people for not playing because it stops your streak hence you can't get the bonus points. Just a thought.
