Why are shares owned by Tauriga being held by VistaGen's transfer agent and not by Tauriga itself?

That's the problem.
I'm sure there's a good reason for it and as soon as someone tells me what it is there's a chance that the problem will go away.
Are they being held that way pending some action by one of the parties to the sale? Is it the typical methodology in a direct offering?

If this was normal would it have been mentioned in the text of the 10-K?
"As of March 31, 2019, these shares were not on deposit with the Company’s broker of record."
It's a notation that I haven't seen before. Have you?

Why isn't there any mention of ANY Direct Offering in the VistaGen filings?

"I don't really understand what the problem is here?"
I think there may be more than ONE problem (not including your use of a question mark at the end of a statement.).

There are several questions above. Please answer some or all of them.

But can it core A apple?
Yes Ralph, of course it can core A apple.
