More too it than that in the big picture, IMO. I got a glimpse of the future back in grad school when taking a class called "the carbon economy". I know as a plant lover, that CO2 is not the number one greenhouse gas that poses a risk to life. When considering the concept of cleaning up the environment of greenhouse gasses, Methane is a much worse offender.

However, CO2, and elemental carbon are the basis for a coming future economy. I'm not talking solely about tax credits so much as the actual carbon sequestration into the ground. Hippie, Hipster, or Hillbilly, I suggest looking into carbon sequestration and the role that hemp is about to play going forward. Rodale is focused on that:

Maybe there are strains that are better than others for facilitating carbon sequestration. Research may show that.
