The thing is, with 5 million shares shorted, there are no more shares available for anybody to borrow to short after the news.
None of the major brokerages have MRKR shares available to short except a couple hundred thousand maybe, but that's nothing.

If that is their plan … to attack after the news, good plan except for one factor, they got no ammo left to fight with.

The only reasons that the shorts would NOT have gone done while the share price was going up, is if a large part of the 5 million shorts are shorted as a hedge (therefore not being bought to cover) or held by warrant holders who can cover with warrants and not buy on the open market.

I'll tell you, one way or the other, July 20th to the 23rd is going to be mighty interesting.
