This is important in the progression of the scientific dataset. This isnt simply a rehashing of what we already know. It suggest silicon nitride shares the same properties of Rediheal. But does it better having antiviral antibacterial characteristics.

It also suggests something about acne and possibly SINI as a treatment:

ammonia species – NH4+ and NH3 – both of which are leached from the wet Si3N4 surface

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4633214/

This is trash in relativity to scientific articles. It covers a case study but does very little to helping understand why. This is more conducive to a buzzfeed article, but documents the case study.

As early as in 1895, it was known that ammonia was "strongly antiseptic..In one study, anhydrous ammonia destroyed 99.999% of zoonotic bacteria

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ammonia

Increased concentrations of ammonia or monoethanolamine led to faster and larger reductions in bacterial populations.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25400141

Concentrations higher than or equal to 0.5% (v/v) ammonia or 1% (v/v) monoethanolamine were able to completely inactivate bacterial populations

So why does google suggest this?:

Although ammonia might kill salmonella and E. coli, it is not an effective defense against dangerous staphylococcus bacteria

The scientific data I just posted suggests differently. The NIH case study I posted seems to implicate google by suggesting the patient was led astray by googling whether to apply urine to his face. This is the top result for a google search of ammonia antibacterial and is quoted by the google search engine so I consider it googles official stance on the idea ammonia is antibacterial against staph. Who is google quoting? "mother nature news". They're quoting a trash source with no citation to help us determine how they came to this conclusion. This is equivalent to pulling an idea out of your B-hole then declaring yourself an authority on the subject. Thanks Google.

Does peeing on your feet cure athletes foot? is there enough ammonium salts in urine to be considered antifungal? Considering you can get a yeast infection of the urinary tract(Candida)

Considering your urine is not a consistent product and ammonia evaporates or "fumes" from stored urine. Meaning you`re left with a product that is bacterial colonized where ammonia has fumed off or converted to Nitrates IE potassium nitrates, magnesium Nitrate, Calcium Nitrate. IF there where scientific studies to confirm Urine is an effective treatment it is not consistent and a consistent product that demonstrated efficacy through quarternary ammonium salts would be superior considering it's consistency and possible superior shelf life.
----------------
Shelf life.

Anyone know the shelf life of the antibacterial antimicrobial antifungal properties of Silicon Nitride? has that been addressed? Seems like in vitro it releases the nitrogen and eliminates itself through the urine process as ammonia and "tarnishes" to silicon dioxide which would be neutral in regards to these properties. Does it eventually "tarnish" and become Neutral outside of the body? Will polishing regenerate the antimicrobial antifungal antiviral properties? How long do these properties last? Such as a coated device such as a door knob?
