I just heard from my broker at Oppenheimer. Apparently there was a problem with the details. When USSE announced the underwriting prematurely, they really torked the powers that be at Oppenheimer. The deal's off. In no uncertain manner. The PR is "totally false". They're surprised that there's been no retraction. When I suggested that USSE was hoping to have their apology accepted and complete the negotiations, the response would send me to the IHub jail if I repeated it here.
The only good news is that the fact that Oppenheimer considered it reflects well on the company.
