Why didn't they simply increase the feed levels?

Something is not right here???

You're right. When they stocked lot 180 they expected a mortality rate of 20 to 30 %. But it turned out that there was very little mortality.

The result was an overstocked tank which resulted in slower growth rates than expected.

All in all, a good problem to have. No steroids, just reduced stocking levels to account for the very low mortality rate.

Which, by the way, means reduced costs. Another win for the F&T water treatment units and the Natural Shrimp process.
I thought I read that they expected a mortality rate of near 50%.

Overstocked tank with slower growth rate? Why not simply increase the feed levels and/or frequency?

A good problem to have? It apparently led to an orgy of cannibalism and resulted in SHMP claiming no "visual" mortality, they claim they didn't see any dead shrimp. No shit. They were cannibalized by the starving herd. They ate each other to death. There was literally nothing left as it came to a standoff with the last two shrimp squaring off like Ali-Frazier or more likely Tyson-Holyfield, lol...then Mike (SHMP plant manager) arrived and saved them. SHMP then ordered fresh shrimp from the gulf coast. And fed some to the F&T truck drivers...

Another win, my ass. NaturalShrimp has never had a successful grow (crop) using Letizia's (F&T Water Solutions LLC) prop (as in Hollywood prop) EC units. Never. Never did, never will.
