You can rationalize it any way you want, but by getting 50% discounted price on stock you have an immediate double of your money. Or put it in loaning terms -- WAY OVER the usury rate -- EVEN for high high risk investment. C'mon 50% is KILLING the company and other investors. Try convincing someone else, NOT working with me as to the obvious!!
