Some, actually a good deal, of the commentary I read on the chat boards sounds like goodl old 60s radicalism. Screw the government. Screw the corporations. Power to the people.
The mysterious creator remains mysterious. Did he simply create a complex video game intended to provide hours of entertainment for 21st Century users? I need to research it. Nonetheless, that is all I think it is at the end of the day. Somehow it evolved into what it has become today.
OTC scam tickers with a blockchain or virtual money angle have done no better or no worse than any other OTC scam pump and dump in the past couple years.
As for the time it takes for a transaction to clear, it seems to me it takes as much time as it took last century for a paper check to clear from your account. Also, retailers can take them time running batches so it could take days for a transaction to clear.
So where is the technology breakdown that is supposed to speed up transactions and move numbers from one account to another?
The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
