I think FDA cGMP certification may be more logical for "CBD" companies at this current stage. cGMPs address safety and quality without the FDA having to make any definitive ruling on CBD or hemp extract itself, as they would have to do with a GRAS proclamation. So, for now, I would think cGMPs should be what companies aim for, in order to show compliance with the FDA.
