Not too much to Looker at today... except Today's hearing, which begins at 2 p.m. ET... it will focus on Silicon Valley's impact on the news industry, including how Google and Facebook's dominance of online advertising affects publishers...

interesting...

Witnesses from media groups will testify on how Google and Facebook squeeze revenue from publishers, while at least one tech advocate will tout the platforms' distribution power as an overall benefit...

The subcommittee chairs will also tout their new proposal to allow publishers to collectively bargain with the tech giants for more revenue. There will also be the usual heavy dose of congressional bluster...
