I specifically said it was crazy to think that LP would want to keep the share price down. Only one of your points addressed that at all, the rest of your 'not crazy' statements were non-sequiturs, i.e. not reasons for LP to want to sandbag the share price.

It is not crazy to think the opening bid price of this company could go beyond the willingness of BP after trial results (if successful), whereas if the price is controlled, opening bids should come in and a price war ensue. That is not necessarily self-sabotage.

Yeah, I do think that is a crazy view of how the business works. Let's agree to disagree on that because your assertion makes no sense to me at all. Selling a biotech company is not like residential real estate where keeping the listing price low is a frequent strategy in hot markets to get multiple offers and a higher net sale price. Do you have any comps in the biotech business where this kind of strategy has been used to your knowledge? I doubt it, but I'm willing to learn.
