I don't know where you have worked in the past. Everywhere I have worked rewarded you with your paycheck. regardless of what you do for the company. and the company owns whatever idea you came up with. As long as you did it on company time. I have worked for multiple very large house hold name companies. of coarse this is based on my experience. I also have a pretty good network of friends at other companies. I have known people to develop patented ideas. I think the most they got was there name attached to the patent below the company name.
