Good thought provoking question Kiwi. I saw it very early this morning and wanted to reply but decided to go back to bed. Then upon arising for good, I saw that Couldbebetter basically said most of what I was going to say.

Of course that type of decision is something we think about in business - which is the best way forward.
I did want to add that sometimes unforeseen things that alter the conditions in the future and that did happen to me in my last business.

We had our best year in 2015 (continuous upward trajectory from 2009 till then). Unfortunately things outside of our control turned negative on us in the following years. We were still making a good living, and as you might remember sold the business Dec/2018. However, if we had sold at the end of 2015 we could have sold the business for 10 times what we got in 2018. Little did we know.

So Amarin could choose either path, and it could turn out to be the best or worst of decisions. I must add, that if they can plumb any data from R-I in regards to cognitive function that might help their decision going forward even if it is to use that information as part of the negotiations with BP.
