Last Sunday Anderson Cooper hosted a segment that examined the Bitcoin on 60 Minutes. He interviewed a MIT geek who gave her take on the digital money. She said the geeks really don't know if it succeeds or if it fails, which in her mind she found interesting and exciting. It's too late in the evening for me to do any extensive researching on the subject. Perhaps another 50 years will have to pass until Bitcoin becomes the de facto money that supplants all other sovereign money. Or maybe this happens, if it happens at all, a bit sooner.
The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
