Jssdmm attended the ASM and said of the 2000/5000 hour testings,

2000/5000k Test: At some level this is one of the final stages of acceptance that may be required. People always ask if we are engaging with customers. Well this is exactly the result of those engagements. Keep in mind, these are not single tests, but require a sample size of say n= 25 to 45. Tests are performed in house. We have the tools and personnel. Also, the tests are not just straight shots. Sometimes the data will be collected while within the testing environment and running. Other times, the material will be removed and tested. So timing is not cut and dry. But the parameters are known. It's not a guessing game. But you can imagine the rigor going into the testing strategy as there are many moving parts.

Herman attended and Walter posted his take of the 2000/5000 hour testings,

Lightwave Logic carries out these tests over a period of 2000 and 5000 hours with different modulators and probably with the new material.

And Dr Lebby commented the following on the new material system in the Feb 28, 2019 news release (3 months ago)

Dr. Michael Lebby, CEO of Lightwave Logic, Inc. stated, "I could not be more excited or prouder of our team for this accomplishment. They have raised the bar and set what could be a new industry standard for many years to come. Polymer electro-optics can break through today's technology limitations to give us both fast and energy efficient data communications. We are anxious to get this material into a test device within the next 6 months while we continue developing existing polymer device prototypes for evaluation by potential customers. Our team's recent success demonstrates that we are the premier company on the verge of engineering commercially viable, advanced electrooptic materials and devices beyond what has been achieved before."

My current take of the 2000/5000 hour testings,

Ok, so in relation to the material systems Gen 1, Gen 2, and perhaps a Gen 2A are in play currently

So for these reliability testings it would not surprise me that they are performing all tests with all of the existing material systems in use since the 50Gbs device was unveiled, just a guess really, but seems to me they are churning out tons of wafer/chips at this point, so I get the idea there is LARGE SCALE testing going on, and if I wanted to dot my i's and cross my t's without wasting time but gaining maximum applicable knowledge, assuming necessary resources are available, I think I would shadow the reliability testings on all existing variations of material systems, that way if there were any inconsistencies to arise/deal with, certain information may be relevant to solving a puzzle from one of the material system variants

Would love to hear X, or others who attended and perhaps got more color in 1 on 1's after the formal presentation
