I believe that this shows a real problem.

At any other legit company on the planet that call would have been used to also introduce the new CFO to the public. He would have made statements about how he was still getting up to speed on the business model and existing financials, etc. He would have ended his part by saying something about how excited he was to be part of such and awesome company as well as how positive he was for the future.

Did that happen? Nope.

Not only was the CFO not on the call, the CEO didn't mention that the 10-Q was going to be delayed. This would have been a perfect time for him to mention that and explain whatever the issue is.

Something smells rotten...
