Per the WSJ from yesterday. The World Health Org's IARC has issued cancer warnings on more than 1000 products, including red meat, hot drinks and working late. The editorial suggests this group is much less rigorous in its statements than the EPA, which I consider unafraid to take bold steps about product safety, or even taking biased stances.
Does the IARC influence the EU? I don't know. On the page previous to the above editorial, an opinion piece said that "the IARC considers everything a cancer risk until proven otherwise" and thus cell phone use is a possible cancer risk.
