If the US-China trade war lasts more than another year, I think voters would react quite negatively if Trump decided to fold and agree to China's demands just before the election.

Why did we experience this pain just to let China continue theft of US property? Or refusing to reveal the amount of state subsidies as required by the WTO so we can halt unfair competition.

We've run out of other people's Social Security taxes needed to subsidize our low income tax rates.
