Here's how the two look when compared over the latest three years:

Generally they follow the same pattern. Some difference in amplitude is seen and the v-Wave seems a bit smoother as well. I'd mentioned that I considered the v-Wave a bit more conservative and that can be seen here, too. The lower risk periods don't quite dip as low. The peaks during bearish times seem nearly the same, however. Median value for the v-Wave for individual stocks is 44 where the i-Wave median is 39.
