Follow-up. Just called E-Trade. They have MRKR as "hard to borrow" which means they would borrow shares from another broker.

AND Fidelity has it as "Hard to Borrow", but they have 399,000 shares they can borrow to short.

With the 4 giants all having either hard to borrow or not available to borrow, I can't see how shorts would be able to raise substantially from it's current 4 million shares shorted mark.
